Welcome to PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics! Maybe you’ve never learned math on a computer before, but there’s a lot that will be familiar to you here. Just like in other math classes, you will learn math concepts, solve problems, do homework, and take exams.

Before you can get started working with PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics over the Internet, you need the following items:

PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics Client Installer

You must install PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics on your workstation before you can log into your course. To install, use the PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics Client Installer CD and follow the directions in the Quick Start Instructions section of the CD insert. Make sure your workstation meets the minimum student workstation requirements before you begin installation.

PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics CD Set

The instruction in this course takes place in the multimedia lessons in the PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics CD set. The lessons use text, sound, graphics, animation, and video to present the mathematics. They also provide you with lots of opportunities for practice. All lessons work the same so once you know how to work one, you can work them all! The CD set also includes online versions of the Personal Academic Notebook.

Personal Academic Notebook

Each online PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics lesson has a corresponding chapter in the study text called the Personal Academic Notebook.  The Personal Academic Notebook is a cross between a textbook and a workbook, and it is an essential part of the course.  Your Personal Academic Notebook may be a book that you purchased or online PDF files on the PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics CDs. In book form, each Personal Academic Notebook covers several PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics topics. There is a chapter for each lesson within those topics. In software form, the corresponding Personal Academic Notebook chapter for a lesson is available on the related PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics topic CD.
